Cherry angiomas are benign small blood vessel growths on the skin, mainly linked to aging and genetics, becoming more common after age 30 as blood vessels naturally change over time. They appear as tiny red or purple spots and usually increase gradually with age, sometimes influenced by hormones or environmental factors. These spots are harmless and not dangerous, and treatment is only for cosmetic reasons. A dermatologist should check them if they change rapidly, bleed, become painful, or look unusual, to rule out other conditions.
